The role
Duel has a universe, not a logo. Characters, worlds, running jokes, a visual language that belongs to us and nobody else. You draw it.
This is not decorating someone else’s product. The art is the brand, and the brand is half of why anyone shows up.
What you’ll do
- Create characters, worlds, and key art for the Duelverse
- Produce game art and in-product illustration alongside design and engineering
- Turn campaigns, drops, and moments into visuals fast
- Build a reusable asset library so the universe stays consistent as it grows
- Work with marketing and the memelords on reactive, culture-speed pieces
- Defend the style. Consistency is what makes a universe feel real.
What you’ll need
- A portfolio with a voice — illustration, character work, or world-building you actually own
- Range across styles; the Duelverse is not one aesthetic
- Comfortable producing at pace: assets, campaigns, drops, reactive pieces
- Working knowledge of how art gets used in product — sprites, states, sizes, export discipline
- Bonus: animation, 3D, or motion
- Internet-native. You understand why a joke lands before it’s explained to you.
- Self-directed. Briefs here are a sentence, not a document.
Come draw the world we’re building.
